IMPACT
Our Impact: Ethical and Sustainable at Every Step
From the very beginning, Arius was created out of a need for more everyday, ethical, and sustainable clothing that truly gives back. We believe that fashion should not only make you feel good but also do good for the planet and the people who make it. Every decision we make is grounded in these values, ensuring that we prioritise both ethics and sustainability in all aspects of our business. As we grow and evolve, we are committed to continuing this journey of improvement for the good of both people and planet.
Here’s how we’ve built our brand with purpose at every stage:
Ethical Manufacturing
Our unisex clothing is crafted with care by Stanley/Stella, a third-party manufacturer committed to the highest ethical and sustainable standards. They use only 100% organic and recycled materials and are certified by leading organisations such as GOTS, OEKO-TEX, Global Recycled Standard, and PETA-Approved Vegan. As a FairWear Foundation Leader, they ensure that fair wages and safe working conditions are prioritised throughout the entire supply chain.
Our new women's t-shirts are ethically manufactured here in Brisbane, Australia. Our lovely manufacturer is accredited with Ethical Clothing Australia. We create small batches with natural fibres that suite our slow fashion values.
Sustainable Materials
Our clothing collection features materials that are kinder to the planet and healthier for you. We use organic cotton for our tees, jumpers and caps, and recycled cotton for our bucket hats. Why organic? Organic cotton is grown without harmful pesticides and uses less water, making it better for the soil, local ecosystems, the workers who grow it, and ultimately, you.
Our new Australian made t-shirt is made using Good Earth Cotton®.
"Good Earth Cotton® is a modern regenerative farming program that empowers global producers, communities, and members of the textile supply chain as agents of change through an environmentally beneficial approach to global cotton and agriculture" (Good Earth Cotton, 2025).
Good Earth Cotton® is climate positive and verified by FibreTrace® technology. The cotton we use is grown in Australia. Australian cotton for Australian made tees.
Our skin is our body’s largest organ, and we believe that what you put on your skin matters. That’s why all our clothes are dyed using OEKO-TEX Standard 100-certified dyes, free from toxic chemicals, keeping you and the environment safe.
Hemp and deadstock fabrics are in the works for future pieces. As the new collections unfold we will share why we have made these choices for people and planet.
Other Product Partnerships
In 2025 we are extending our range to include some other ethical, natural and sustainable small businesses. We don't take these decisions lightly and ensure each product aligns with ours and our customers eco values.
Supporting Environmental & Social Causes
In previous years we have donated to charities such as Greening Australia. For 2025, we are excited to announce we will be donating $1 from every item (not just sale, item), to Coral Gardeners. They are doing amazing work restoring coral reefs around the world. These powerful, yet endangered ecosystems are vastly important to our natural world, economies and livelihoods. We can't wait to see the impact we can create with these legends.
Eco-Friendly Shipping
We’re committed to reducing waste, even in how we deliver your orders. Shipping from our Bribie Island headquarters is done using home compostable and/or recycled materials. Every element of our packaging can be reused, recycled, or composted—right down to the label.
Circularity/End-of-Life Program
Sustainability doesn’t stop when your clothes have worn out. We’ve partnered with Upparel, one of Australia’s leading textile recyclers, to offer an easy end-of-life solution for your garments. If your clothing can no longer be worn, upcycled, donated, swapped or sold, simply purchase a label from us and send your unwanted textiles to be recycled and repurposed. As a thank you, we’ll give you a $25 voucher for your next purchase. Together, we’re reducing waste and creating a more circular economy—where resources are reused, not wasted.
Our Commitment
At Arius, our mission is to create clothing that reflects our commitment to people and the planet. While we know that no business is perfect, we are constantly striving to do better, whether it’s through improving our materials, processes, or giving back. We are always open to new ideas and encourage you to reach out with any suggestions or feedback.
Thank you for supporting our vision of ethical, sustainable, natural, quality clothing, because together we can make a difference.
