ABOUT ARIUS

Hi, I’m Lauren, the founder of Arius - a brand inspired by the ocean, sustainability, and the simple joy of living in harmony with nature. Arius began when I had my first child, Ari. Like many new parents, I became more conscious of what I was putting on my baby’s skin and, by extension, my own. I started questioning the hidden toxins, synthetic fibres, and unsustainable practices in the fashion industry and realised how hard it was to find everyday clothing that was comfortable, timeless, and made from natural, eco-friendly materials.  

I wanted clothing that felt as good on as it was for nature - soft, effortless, and kind to both people and the planet. When I couldn’t find it, I decided to create it. And just like that, Arius was born.

At Arius, we make sustainable, versatile pieces designed for those who love the sea, sun, and all things nature. Inspired by carefree beach days, salty air, and the beauty of nature, our collections are perfect for those who feel most at home near the ocean - or who simply want to carry that relaxed, barefoot-in-the-sand feeling with them wherever they go.

Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword for us—it’s why we exist. We carefully choose materials that are:

·      Natural and organic – Our fabrics come from organic cotton, linen, hemp, and other plant-based fibres that are gentle on your skin and the planet.

·      Toxin-free – No harmful chemicals, no synthetics, no microplastics—just pure, breathable materials.

·      Ethically made – We work with responsible manufacturers who prioritise fair wages, safe working conditions, and ethical production.

·      Low-waste and circular – We rescue fabric offcuts, minimise waste, and create long-lasting clothing that doesn’t end up in landfill. When you're finished with your item you can swap or sell in our Facebook community (Arius Crew) or use the textile recycling program to send to Upparel for recycling. 

·      Sustainability is about more than materials - it’s about how we make, wear, and care for our clothing. When you invest in Arius, you’re choosing timeless, well-made pieces that last beyond seasons and keep waste out of our oceans.

GIVING BACK TO THE PLANET

We’re not just here to talk about sustainability - we’re here to take action. That’s why we proudly donate to environmental initiatives that focus on: 

·      Reforestation – Restoring forests and habitats for a greener planet.

·      Ocean conservation – Protecting marine ecosystems from pollution & restoring our coral reefs.

·      Sustainable future projects – Supporting grassroots movements that drive real change.

In the past we have donated to Greening Australia to help plant more trees. Currently, we donate $1 from every product purchased to Coral Gardeners - legends who are restoring coral reefs around the world. When you choose Arius, you’re making a conscious choice to support ethical brands and help build a better, cleaner world for future generations.

OUR OTHER AMAZING BRAND PARTNERS 

We have partnered with some other ethical and sustainable brands creating products that are not only better for us, they’re also better for the planet too. At the start of 2025 I wanted to extend our range to provide our customers with a complete ethical and sustainable beach and adventure solution. 

We now stock Winki Zinc natural sunscreens and zinc. This is a natural, Australian made, plastic free, vegan and reef safe brand. 

 

Ozeano sunglasses are our newest addition. They make beautiful plant-based sunglasses, made from Italian bio-acetate. These stunning polarised glasses make the perfect addition to your daily look.

 

I love being able to stock such products that are guided by the same ethical and sustainable values as we are.
